How to Get a Quote
Thanks for inquiring about our services. We are happy to send you a quote but require specific information to do so. We prefer to have your request submitted by email. Include print-ready files if these are available.
Quote requests require all information that may impact on the price and completion time of your job. Be sure to include the following for each item. If you cannot answer these questions we will contact you. Be sure to include a phone number/ email address we can use.
- Quantity
- Finished dimensions
- Finishing requirements such as: folding, perforation, drilling, etc.
- Paper type – coated, uncoated, card stock, etc. Include colour or other specifications if applicable.
- Printing type: 4-colour, black only or a combination
- Pages – for books and multi-page documents
- Binding method if applicable: spiral, metal coil, stapled or Perfect (glue)
If inaccurate or incomplete information is provided in your quote request we will either issue a quote with the corrected specifications or put your request on hold and notify you with a request for changes.
Quotes are normally issued within 24 hours of request. This turnaround is based on standard paper types, sizes and finishing requirements. Non-standard jobs may require us to find the necessary paper or may require specialty finishing from another supplier which may require 3-4 days.
Quotes are valid for a specified period – usually 30 days or less. If you are confirming a quote beyond the valid date we reserve the option to requote the job.
If a price error has been made on a quote, we reserve the option to reissue the quote at the corrected price and it remains your option to accept it.
Quotes are based on the submission of print-ready artwork. If you do not know what this means, refer to our Artwork Standards document which describes these requirements in detail. If there are errors in your artwork which we can fix, we will include an estimate for this service in your quote. There is a minimum design charge.
Estimated design charges are a best estimate and may vary depending on the actual time required. We expect that all necessary files such as logos and source documents are provided on a timely basis.
Quotes usually include estimated completion times. These are not guarantees and are impacted by the availability of materials and the number of jobs already in the queue.
If your job must be completed by a specific date, note this in your request. We state the guaranteed completion date in the quote. If we feel there is insufficient time to do the job, we will not issue a quote.
Rush print jobs (to be completed within 48 hours) may be subject to additional charges.
Repeat jobs may not have the same price as your last order. As much as we try to keep increases at a minimum there are factors such as paper prices that are outside our control.
4-colour and black only jobs are priced differently. In the case of multi-page jobs, we need to know the quantity of each.
Quotes issued through our on-line system will include a link to a fillable form in which you can accept or reject the quote or ask for changes. Please use this form for approvals.
We quote a maximum of 3 quantities for any one item. There are standard quantities for such items as business cards and brochures. If you choose a non-standard quantity we may adjust your request to a standard quantity, or you may be charged according to the next larger quantity.
There are minimum quantities that we will print. If your request is below the minimum, we will quote on the lowest quantity available.
